Final post

Hello everyone today I’m going to talk about Mi experience in level 4.
I think in general this course is very great and very necessary for the university students, basically because it´s very important in these days learn the English language for enter to work world .My experience in this course it was very good, the teacher is very enthusiastic person for teaching and very professional.
I like the collaborative work with my partners, always we working in pairs or groups and this is great because constantly we practice the language in class doing an oral interactions.

In the not so positive ones maybe improve my attendance to the class, sometimes was very difficult to me have gone to class for personal reasons. And other think that maybe it´s very necessary improve for me is being more participative person in class, in general I’m a very shy person, so this point it´s a little complicated for me.

In general this was a really great experience, but I considered very important continue with the classes because after the pet practice I realize mi basic level of the language, so I need improve very much yet.

Nicaragua it´s the second country poorest in America, after Haiti, with a population of 6.1 million people, this country have more than 2 million of school aged children, and most of the half of all the children and teenager in Nicaragua live in poverty conditions.
Unicef estimates that a half million Nicaraguan children in the range of 3 to 17 years are not in the educational system, the majority live in rural areas of the country, or are poor , indigenous or disabled . In this country it´s so huge the level of poverty that the reports show almost 240.000 children in the range of 5 and 17 left out the school and start to work.
The International Labour Organisation’s (ILO) declared about the importance of their enormous challenge that they have about the child labor, they promise eradicate the worst forms of the child labour in 2016 and eradicate all the forms of child labour by 2020
The Nicaraguan government today has not the necessary plans to combat child labour, and protect their children’s.
In Bluefield for example (the biggest town on Nicaragua Atlantic coast) the children start to working very young in sugar canes crops, mines or quarries.
I choose this article because I thinks it’s very important know about the reality of some countries than not have resources for drives children to the school and it´s very relevant not ignore all the people who live in this horrible conditions and search news solutions for improve their quality of life.

Today I’m going to talk about a book that I reading at the moment WE, this book is called “Bosque Quemado” of Roberto Brodsky a Chilean writer and screenwriter. This book is a novel, specifically a V autobiographical novel of () 2008.

I started reading it because a friend recommended V, she was my mate and friends WW when I study WW literature,P/V she always recommends V me books and movies. Erika (my fiends WW) used this book for his WW thesis and someday WW in his WW house she shows me the WE book and said: you must to() read this!

Back to() home I started reading it on the bus and I read 40 pages in no time and loved V. The book tells about the Chilean exile and how a family is divided for this reason. But is not only about exile, because the story be interconnected with divorces, adultery, clandestine loves, distances, returns and the slow and painful death of his father for Alzheimer. Almost everything is a metaphor about a burned forest (Bosque Quemado) in the mind C of narrator, the main character and the author who is recognized as WE this character.

“Pride and prejudice”

Well for be very honest in this period of the year I find myself very lazy to read books of my interest because I ended the university this semester so I need read so much for my final university investigation, this thing it´s a little frustrating because I enjoy very much reading things without pressure but sadly I couldn’t read all that I want. But exist some classical books than I always read no matter what, every free time I enjoy reading very much these books, one of my list it´s a very classical novel written for an English author Jane Austen, the name of the books it´s “pride and prejudice” I’m in love to this book since I was a teenager.
Maybe in general the people think than Jane Austen it´s too much romantic and classical writer but I don’t care because the principal character always finishes with a happy ending
“Price and prejudice” it´s a story about the Bennet’s family who lived in the early 19 century in England, Austen in this novel tell us the history of the five daughters Bennet’s marriage who want to get married as soon as possible except the rebel Elizabeth. One day come to the town one handsome and rich bachelor called Mr. Bingley and his loyalty friend Mr. Darcy .The sister of Elizabeth, Jane falls in love with Mr. Bingley , but the people, especially Mr. Darcy not approve this relationship , for this reason the sister of Jane, Elizabeth hates him so much , but even before this she found him a very strange and arrogant person and hates so much him. But the times goes by and new things happen and Elizabeth thoughts and feelings start to change about this mysterious man.

My lovely cats

Since I was a little girl I love the cats. One day my mom adopted one cute kitten and with my sister and brother spend a lot of time played with him also we built a cutest little house made with one box of shoes, his name was “ gato” he lived 15 years , we love him so much but sadly he died from cancer . This incident was very sad for all of my family and very shocking because we loved our pet, but he was feline cancer. After my “gato” we have two other cats zizu and chiki . I didn’t know yet, but in this time we had a crazy neighbor, and he hated all pets in general and he had given rat poison to them, and this horrible act killed my babies. We couldn’t do anything for saved them; we arrived to the veterinary too late. Spent a lot of time after this horrible event and we decided adopt one cat again because the crazy neighbor not lived in the neighborhood anymore so I adopt two sisters female cats , mini and coyi. Today they are 10 years old and they are so healthy and gorgeous, I love my babies and if you ask me if I want have more cats, the answer is definitely!!

English practice

I think my performance in the different areas it´s not so bad. In the two activities for reading sings when you read some sings and messages or things like that I score very well. In the part when you need have to match five people with eight specific courses, it´s was more complicated because you need read and understand very well what they said, but at the same as the others activities, these are not so terrible. The listening part I enjoyed very much because it´s really fun guess what the people say in English, but you need listen very well for not make some mistakes. In the vocabulary part my performance was poor; I need study so vocabulary in English., because I not understand some ideas and words.

Anne Frank

Today I’m going to talk about the person who I admire, she is Anne Frank, and she was a little young woman from German she was born in 12 June 1929. In my opinion she was born in the wrong place and the wrong time. I know Anne Frank because I had to read her dairy for the school, and her story is shocking and very sad for me.
She is a very popular person around the world because she wrote her famous dairy book published for the only family survivor to the war, her dad Otto Frank. All her history and life impressed me so much for all the things she lived. The book shows to the people how a little young girl faced a really awful and sad situation
She was a very brave woman who lived hidden with her family and other family friend during the second war in Amsterdam. In her free time she wrote a book talking about all her feelings, thoughts and other deep ideas.
Sadly all the family Frank and the other family friend were discovered for the Nazi people and all went to the Nazi concentration camps when Anna finally died in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp at age of 15 in February 1945.
Sadly never I got to know them she is dead but I admire all the courage and bravery than she had in her life.

Green

Today I´m going to talk about one interesting topic. It´s all about be green. In general I try to be very honest and I need to say that I not be a really green person, basically for ignorance more than anything, but for all what happens today in our actually world, I consider very important become in an eco- friendly person, because we live in a period of the time when the global warming issue and all the several pollution problems are destroying the planet, our home, so we should be more eco -friendly with urgency. If we want to take care the place where we live, all the people need change the habits and be greener and concern about our world. Today I think it´s very important and relevant incorporate habits of recycling, I live in Ñuñoa and in this suburb of Santiago exist some recycle culture , for example all the Mondays you can take out the rubbish that can be used for recycling. Actually gradually I become in a person more interesting in my environment, because I have a son, so I think it´s my absolute responsibility be greener for leave a better world to him. I think it´s a great idea be a part of some organization who cares about this important subject, I would feel so great and useful if I have the opportunity for participated in some like that, but honesty I don’t have any clue about where there is one community organization in my suburb about this. I need to search one organization urgently. See you the next class.

Montessori method of teaching

Today I´m going to talk about one of the methods for teaching more interesting for me. This method for teaching was created by an Italian woman called Maria Montessori, she was the first female doctor to her country and she revolutionized the education area with her method. Also she was a physician and educator, for this reason all her live investigated the children’s mind and finally created this education system. Her method today is in use, because it´s really effective and innovative, this education it´s a constructivist model, than help to the infants to explore his environment and building a significant learning for them, this is a really brilliant method because respects all the child´s natural stages of development, and not use the force for learning contrary to the most used approach today, the behaviorism. Sadly it´s not very popular for the people because is some expensive for the most of the countries accustomed to the traditional and boring education system designed so many time ago and very obsoleted according to the needs of the children in this century . It´s not so popular because this method need a trained Montessori educator and specific instruments or toys designed especially for this exclusive method, not any pedagogical instrument can´t be used . This it´s so terrible and alarming because all the children in the world need a greats education system than help them in all the areas to the life, and an education according to the present century and their needs.

Italian cuisine

Hello everywone! Today I’m gonna talk about some of my favorite hobbies. I enjoy very much cook, in my family it´s a very important thing. We love cook and it´s a really good moment for join the family. We enjoy searching different recipes to world cuisine for prepare delicious dishes and taste some different flavors. I love discovered new flavors and try to prepare a really good new dishes. But in general my favorite cuisine is the Italian. I love all the Italian food and I enjoyed prepare it. The last weekend for example, I prepared for my family a really good vegetarian lasagna, with a lot of cheese, cream, spinach, nutmeg, mushrooms, some red peppers, onion and tomato sauce (made with natural tomatoes), a very simple recipe but very tasty for all my family. It´s so simple and easy make pizza. For this reason my son and I enjoyed very much the moment when we cook, because he participated actively in the preparation and he having fun too. Today my family and I will watch the Chilean soccer game together and of course we will cook a delicious pizza for all, so I will go to a supermarket after the class ends. And I need to buy the ingredients for the pizza these are: flour, garlic, oregano, olive oil, some mozzarella , tomatoes, mushrooms and some basil. I hope the pizza will be very delicious, and I expect than Chile wins today. See you the next class. Bye

My pearls earrings

In my life I received a very different kind of gifts or presents so it´s very difficult for me choose one but thinking very much I think that I Have a favorite one for the emotional value because my parents gave me this present in my childhood . In this moment I didn't like very much, but with the pass of the time I loved my present so much. The present that I choose are pearl earrings, which they gave me in the Christmas when I was a teenager. I opened and I supposed that earrings are too expensive and fancy to be worn by a young teenager but later I understood the symbolism to the gift, for them this presents represents that I had not considerate a child anymore and they saw me like a young lady and not a kid anymore, so I felt very happy and proud for myself because they talked to me and they said who proud they felt, and they considerate me a responsible young woman capable to worn this values earrings. Now In the present I love my pearl earrings and in the future if I had a daughter I would give my precious present to her too.

Fiestas Patrias

In this opportunity I talk about the “fiestas patrias” In my country we celebrate these traditional date because it´s the celebration of the first Government junta who proclaimed Chile as an independent republic finally separated of the Spanish monarchy. For this reason my country celebrates his national day on 18 September. The people around the country have different ways to celebrate, but in general we´re going to the “ fondas” o “ ramadas” , both are a kind of party who people goes for dancing , and eat typical dishes , for example pasty, meat in sticks, corn cake, and drink the typical liquor the international famous wine, and other types of wine, for example the “chicha “ or the “ pipeño”. In this year I went to the Ines de Suarez park, who had a different stand full of crafts , very different foods and typically outfit for sale, and a stands for typical activities like rayuela , also they had a children’s area, very good for me because I have a child so it’s very great and funny to see our kid happy and having fun. Besides I ate very much pasty and other delicious things. In general I enjoyed this celebration very much because I brought all my family together and the atmosphere was full of joy.

September 11th

This date it´s very important for our country because It´s a day very sad and historically important. Before 42 years ago in Chile armed force attack to the "Unidad Popular" government to the president Salvador Allende , and the military’s take the control to Chile for the force. To many people dead this day and it´s the end of a really good idea of government, who end with this military control. I feel very sad for this thing happened because the civil resistance lost a battle and the country never was the same after this horrible date, before this date the dictator Augusto Pinochet and the military government take the absolute control , and kill a lot of innocent people only for have a different political ideas. He hunt all the people who considerate inappropriate for him so the people live with a lot of afraid and fear, because he and his aliases torture very hard to an innocent citizens and put they in a concentration camps in horrible conditions like a prisioners. The Pinochet government was horrible because he violated all the possible human rights, these act of violence and cruelty never been justified, and all the responsible persons need to pay for this crimes , it´s very fair complain about the awful success happened in the past , some people today are very angry about all this. The state of Chile must deal without any compassion to all the abhorrent people responsible for these crimes, because we need to the killers who still alive pay with life imprisoned in a real awful jail. For me of course than the theme it´s not outdated because the criminals never pay for the crimes, and the people who been affected it´s still angry and of course really hurt, they need and all the society needs justice and peace in our country, and unfortunately if still have a group of persons who defend the dictator and his government we never be a united and peaceful country. This date affect the life of people who lives in the country because the atmospheres turn different, exist a lot of fear in the citizens to the September 11th because the police go out to the streets for repress all the possible manifestations of people and otherwise exist a group or persons who produced act of unjustified violence and disorder in the streets as a protest. In my particular case I live near the University so the landscape sometimes it´s very chaotic, because the streets are all full of police forces and they repress all the students whogo out to protest.

Egypt

Since I was a little girl , I always dreamed with travel to this gorgeous country. My mom when I was a child , she bought me a lot of books , and cd rooms with a lot of information relationed with this place. I love all the pictures who showed these amazings books, I learned about all kind of information about this contry, for example the huge civilization who been in the past , and all the mistique who involved this history it´s too much interesting for be ignored. I need to go in the future, because I need to see with my own eyes the great pyramid of Giza, the Sfinx, The Nile river, and visit other places for exaple the city of the dead in Cairo and I will go to the museums, but especially to the most importantly for my , the egyptian museum in Cairo, because there contains the world's most extensive collection of egyptian antiquities, and the most important thing , in this museum it be the gold mask of Tutankhamun, the popular icon of the ancient Egypt , and we found a lot of others importants antiques , especially pharaonic antiques. I love all this old civilization, I dreamed with go to this country and I hope one day will be visit this place. But only for visit because I think Egypt society today it´s all of violence and inestability, they have a lot of intern conflict, and these things are not safe for the people who lives there for all the instability.
